The tilt tray sorter features essential components such as tray carriers, conveyor systems, tilting mechanisms, identification systems, control units, and track frames, all functioning through horizontal continuous conveying. Items are loaded onto trays that sit on motorized carts, which transport them along the designated track. Upon reaching the sorting point, the tilting mechanism engages, allowing the items to slide off the trays and complete the sorting process.

This sorter is particularly versatile, capable of managing a wide array of items, including parcels, boxes, envelopes, and cylindrical or spherical products that may pose challenges for traditional sorting machines.

This encompasses e-commerce items, retail apparel, omnichannel logistics, third-party logistics, store replenishment, and returns processing. However, tilt tray sorters are not recommended for fragile items that cannot withstand impacts. For such special cases, the Realkey series sorters are a better fit.
