Although the 3 inOne abutment (Fig.4) supplied with most implants
can be used as a indirect (closed tray) impression coping, a ball
top screw (Fig.4, right) should be used instead of the included
abutment screw at the time of impression taking. A universal ball
top screw (Fig.4, right, catalog # PXBT) is available for all
platform diameters.

Dedicated impression copings with different emergence profiles for
the indirect (Fig.4, closed tray) and direct (Fig.6, open tray)
fixture level impression technique are also offered for all
platform diameters. BioHorizons® carries non hexed impression
copings in their portfolio, these impression coping should only be
used after careful deliberation because if the proposed prosthetic
design needs to be changed after impression taking a time consuming
second impression with hexed impression copings may need to be
taken.

The 3 inOne impression coping and all other impression copings are
color coded according to platform diameter (yellow 3.5mm, green
4.5mm and blue 5.7mm). Dedicated impression copings are offered in
three emergence profile diameters for each platform diameter,
congruent with available transmucosal healing abutment emergence
profiles.
