Indirect (closed tray) fixture level impression copings (Fig.1) consist of
a three component set. The impression coping body with engaging
indexing feature, a fixation screw and a plastic cap. Once the
impression coping is properly seated and secured with the fixation
screw, the plastic cap is pressed on to the impression coping body
while three grooves machined in to the impression coping body
engage three grooves inside the plastic cap. This plastic cap will
be captured in the impression material and should stay in the
impression material. Color coding follows the platform diameter
identification scheme. Silver (no color), yellow 3.8, red 4.3, blue
5.0 and green 6.0mm.

Platform switching indirect impression copings (Fig.2) are marked
with the letters "PS" printed on the impression coping body in
addition to the platform dependent color coding for identification.
These impression copings may only be used for SCREW-LINE™ implants
with a catalog # beginning with a "K" and are not available for
3.3mm platform diameter implants.

Direct (open tray) fixture level impression copings (Fig.3) consist of a
impression coping body and fixation screw. The impression coping
body is color coded for platform diameter identification silver (no
color), yellow 3.8, red 4.3, blue 5.0 and green 6.0mm. A special
feature of the fixation screw lets the operator shorten the
fixation screw without rotary instruments if necessary. The screw
shaft is pre scored and may be "broken" at the score line by
inserting a hex driver to the score line and snapping off the
excess length of the fixation screw. Shortening the screw should
not be done intraorally while the impression coping is attached to
the implant.
