Product Introduction
RTV167 is a high-strength, gray silicone adhesive sealant designed
for demanding electronic applications. As a one-component,
moisture-curing material from Momentive Performance Materials, it
forms a resilient rubber at room temperature. Its unique alkoxy
cure system releases minimal alcohol vapor during curing, ensuring
non-corrosive protection for copper, brass, and other electronic
metals. Certified to UL E-36952 and compliant with MIL-A-46146
specifications, RTV167 combines robust performance with industrial
reliability.
Enhanced Properties
RTV167 surpasses standard silicone sealants with exceptional
mechanical strength (56 kg/cm² tensile, 600% elongation) and
adhesion (10 kg/cm peel strength). Its electrical insulation
properties include a dielectric constant of 2.8 @ 60 Hz and
ultra-high volume resistivity (3×10¹⁵ ohm-cm), critical for
preventing leakage currents. The sealant maintains elasticity from
-60°C to 204°C and resists environmental degradation from UV, ozone, moisture,
and chemicals. Notably, it cures fully in 48 hours for 3mm sections
under standard conditions (25°C/50% RH), but thicker applications
(>6mm) are not recommended due to extended cure kinetics.
