4.1, 5.0 and 6.0mm platform (implant/abutment interface diameter)
Certain® implants are machined with a double indexing feature
consisting of a internal hexagon inside the implant in the coronal
portion and a duodegon (double hexagon) deeper inside the implant
while 3.4mm platform implant are machined with a duodegon only.
Abutments engage only one of these two indexing features based on
the style of abutment (straight, pre angled). The indexing feature
of 5.0 and 6.0mm platform implants are machined to the same
dimension regardless of platform diameter. This attribute enables
platform switching within the aforementioned platform diameters. 3.4mm and 4.1mm platform implants can not platform switch.

A secondary feature called QuickSeat® (Fig.4) gives the clinician
tactile and audible feedback when seating the abutment in the
patient to verify complete seating. The QuickSeat® feature consists
of delicate prongs machined in to the most "apical" portion of the
abutment. These prongs should be deactivated during the laboratory
phase and activated just before installing the abutment in to the
patient with a special QuickSeat® tool.
