networks. The carts are arranged in a continuous line on the track,
moving parallel to create the mainline, which intersects with the
belts on the carts, leading to its designation as the "Cross Belt
Sorter." Items can be loaded onto the cart belts either manually or
through automated systems. At designated sorting points, the
control system activates the belts to sort and dispatch items.
Cross belt sorters are categorized into two primary configurations:
circular and linear. Circular cross belt sorters utilize a flat
circular design, achieving a mainline speed of up to 2 meters per
second and capable of sorting up to 22,000 items per hour.
Conversely, linear cross belt sorters employ a straight
configuration, operating at speeds of up to 1.5 meters per second
and sorting up to 8,000 items per hour. These sorters are
